"As a radio executive for the past
20 years, I’ve had the good fortune to witness many of the greatest
artists across all genres and formats. As a musician and songwriter,
Darren Ray rates among the best. Immediately upon listening to Darren’s
music, it is so apparent that it resonates directly from his soul.
Whenever we host a function that requires entertainment, it is crucial
that the talent reflects the quality of our company, my first call is
always to Darren.” ----Tony Beringer

"It's rare to get a CD and actually enjoy every song but this is what
happened when I plugged in "Darren Ray 3" The vocals, lyrics and
musicianship were top notch and if you are a true music lover this CD is a
"must have" for your collection!" ~Laura

Ready for Radio
Great guitar riffing to intro in southern rock beat.
This has a really good feel to it.
Performance is professional all the way, through out the line up.
Vocals are very good...!
Bass tone is great...even some horns to funk it !
Keys finish it off .
5 out of 5 !

Great production, what you'd expect
Good tight groove, great drumming, mean intense vocals. Very dirty blues
happening here!
The breakdown is a very cool funk/blues brass break, with a crazy keys
solo. Very nice. The guitarist doesn't dissapoint either!!!
No big surprises here, just straight ahead classic American blues rock.
This could be 1976!

Funk that sh**
Cool, country groove. What? Actually, it's the best comedy track I've
heard all day. Funny as hell. The best country song I've heard in months.
Why aren't you guys on the radio. Nice down home dirty vocals. You got it.
Market it and see what happens.

Rappers
The singer actually sounds like Kid Rock, as he sings about how bad rap
is.. and most people who actually play their instruments would agree. The
only thing good about rap is that it shows one has timing and
syncopation.. Otherwise, rap isnt really music at all. So Im glad ya poked
fun. And this song goes on to point out that the rappers have lots of
kids, that they have guys on stage with them that dont do anything, wear
their clothes all low, get to design their own clothes, and pay to have an
entourage.. "friends" - Maybe rappers have it too good?
haha

Definite Hook
Very reminiscent of "Restless Heart" and that's not meant to be a bad
thing at all. Vocals were pitch perfect and performed by an obviously very
talented lead male vocalist delivering well-crafted and thoughtful lyrics.
There's a definite hook in the chorus which has already worked its way
into my memory and by 3:07 I'm singing along with the band. Great song,
great performance! 5 Stars!

Real Americans
As per your request:
The vocals here are great. Clear, strong, professionally sung, and just
gruff enough. Definite character in there! The hook is nice too, and
although not new for the genre, is delivered with heart. It's memorable.
...And the lyrics, again not new, but you've got a winner here. I can sing
along with this, so you've probably achieved your aim. Great work
guys! There's nothing bad I can say about this.
